I create artwork because the beauty of the process is the best mind-altering state I’ve ever known. I am a child of the sixties when love and beauty were going to change the world. So, I became an art teacher. Then, after my own tragedies, i became a social worker and child protection investigator for the State of Arizona.
I used art therapy in my work, especially with non-verbal children. When I moved to Virginia, I worked as a as a family maltreatment worker for the Department of the Army. Always using art expression as a means of communicating things that cannot be said with words.
Art heals, it has helped me heal. I thank you very much for your work in promoting and supporting the recognition of we all know in our hearts to be true.
