Until recently, 43 of these oak trees towered over West Third Street in Jamestown, N.Y., creating connections with everyone who passed under them. As we look forward to the growth of new trees, I hope these drawings are a reminder of the oaks strength, beauty and the shared space they created.
BIO
I reside with my family in nearby Jamestown NY. Having grown up in Chautauqua County I went on to receive a BA in Commercial Art with a minor in Art History, from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester N.Y. in 2005. Upon receiving my BA I spent six years in Northern Virginia working as a print/web designer and freelance artist before relocating back to Chautauqua County where I was fortunate to be employed as Chautauqua Institution’s Digital Communications Manager for nearly seven years before opening Chautauqua Art Gallery in Lakewood.
